In three weeks we will be receiving the
entries for our Exhibition! To date I have only
received 12 entry forms!!!! Which does not make an
Exhibition!! I hope there will be an avalanche
of entries at the meeting on Thursday - and if you can't attend
the meeting please send your entry to me at 1 Arden Drive, Wylde
Green, SC , B73 5ND. Likewise if you still haven't
handed in your page for the Anniversary Book please let Caroline
have them on Thursday. Please add your name to
one of the rotas for stewarding, kitchen duties, etc.
We need you! And it's YOUR exhibition.
ALSO - don't forget your Sales Table and Cards, if you are
Exhibitions - apart from ours, of course - Prism are exhibiting
at RBSA, Birmingham from 8th-19th October; Living Threads
are exhibiting at Trent College, Long Eaton, NG10 4AD, from 24th
October -1st November; Margaret Fairhead has an exhibition
in Bewdley this month (there will be a flyer on the info table);
and there is a British Textile Biennial in Lancashire until 3rd
November - britishtextilebiennial.co.uk - lots of things going
on. Looks really interesting.
There will be a signing up sheet for my workshop -
Dyeing Fabric and Thread - which was cancelled this month and is
now rebooked for Saturday 16th November.
Our speaker on Thursday is Helen Lane - who is a local lady
- and her talk is about her work and suffragettes.
I won't be at the meeting as I'm going to Venice for
a few days - I hope to see you all at the exhibition and look
forward to receiving your entry forms.
Speaking of entry forms - one member didn't put her name on her
form. If you entered one redwork piece can you let me
know it's you, please?
See you at the exhibition -
And keeeeepppp stitching!!!
